Lucky Dog Animal Rescue is a volunteer-powered nonprofit dedicated to rescuing homeless, neglected, and abandoned animals from certain euthanasia and finding them loving forever homes. We educate the community and all pet parents on responsible pet parenting, including the importance of spay/neuter, obedience training, and good nutrition. Misfits Lacrosse Club is an "old man lax" team based within the DMV, but mainly within Northern Virginia. The group was founded in 2014 and started initially because some players wanted to play lacrosse, but the established local teams did not want to add anyone else to their rosters. Most of our members fall under the Grand Masters Division (hence old man). The main goal of this club is to play lacrosse, socialize, and enjoy life to the fullest. We come from different backgrounds, but lacrosse is the one thing that brings us all together, and most of our team gives back to the lacrosse community, not just as players but as coaches and referees, to help expand the game we love. Sadly in August 2020, we lost a fantastic teammate and an amazing person Mike Janiga. He was one of the founders of the Misfits, and with this donation, we want to remember the impact Mike has had on the local lacrosse community. RIP #64
