FAQ's (Frequently Asked Questions):

FALL PROGRAM:

Our fall program is laid back while still building lacrosse skills, playing scrimmages, and having fun. Both the boys and girls programs meet twice during the week. First practice focuses on improving lacrosse skills and the second practice will be age group scrimmages. There are no official games and no practices on the weekends. The program is usually 6 weeks long starting in September and ending in October. In the past, Loudoun County Parks and Recreation have assigned us the following fields, Hampshire Park for the boys and Belmont Ridge Middle School fields for the girls. Flat cost of $150.

SPRING PROGRAM:

Which club should I register my child with this Spring?

All players shall register with the NVYLL club that represents their local public high school pyramid as determined by their residence regardless of the actual school they attend. Ashburn Lacrosse Club serves Stone Bridge, Riverside, Broad Run high schools exclusively.  Ashburn Lacrosse Youth Lacrosse Club shares Tuscarora High School with Western Loudoun Lacrosse Club.

IMPORTANT NOTE
The Ashburn Bandits Lacrosse program is limited to just those players residing in Ashburn, VA

Our high school clusters of Stone Bridge, Riverside, Broad Run, and Tuscarora.

Home games are played in Ashburn. Away game location is dependent upon the opponent but in Northern Virginia.

When is the first practice?

The first *team* practices are early February.  We also conduct age-group practices before the team practices starting in mid-January.  This depends on when the county allows us to use their fields, as well as favorable weather conditions.

When are practices held?

Practices are 2 or 3 times a week, in the late afternoon to early evening.  Days and times are dependent upon county field allocation, coaches’ preference, and daylight hours available.  The practice schedule will not be decided upon until the week before practice begins.
